Module 4: Entering the Digital Domain - Preparing Designs and Jobs for Desktop 3D Printers & Printing Services

Overview 概述

We will take a tour through typical design documents and digital object files, the kinds of mesh files used for 3D printing, and class of software tools you use to prepare your print jobs, and then pay special attention to the structure of the g-code job file at the end of the software pipeline that provides the procedural instructions that the desktop 3D printer hardware systems follows to fabricate a physical object.

We will introduce you to repositories for digital design and mesh files that might get you close to where you are going, software tools for checking and fixing your digital models for printing, as well as a detailed introduction to a slicer, Ultimaker Cura.
