Though type is world-reaching, this class focuses on typography as it is used and understood in the
west. However, we are excited to see what perspectives an international body of students can bring to this topic.
Although typography is governed by a rich body of rules and conventions, typographic skill ultimately emerges from hands-on experience. In this course, you will have an opportunity to put your knowledge
into practice in two peer assessed assignments. To succeed in this course, you should be prepared to apply significant energy to these last two assignments.
