I am Markaisa Black, a PhD Innovation Scientist at Procter and Gamble for Beauty- Skin Care. As a molecular biologist and formulation chemist, I use my skills to contribute to the exciting technological advances that happen every day at OLAY. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. I graduated from Clark Atlanta University with my B.S. in Biological Sciences and earned my PhD in Molecular and Developmental Biology in 2018. I am a proud spokesperson for the #FacetheSTEMgap campaign where P&G has committed to increasing the number of women and women of color in STEM careers. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing volleyball and being outdoors (while wearing lots of sunscreen!).

My work has supported multiple brands across the Beauty Care business including Old Spice, Secret, Olay, Native Skin, SKII, Head & Shoulders, and Pantene Gold Series. I am a PhD Medicinal Chemist with a passion for science, mentoring, and preparing the next generation of scientists.
